NFTs
What are NFTs?
A NFT is a non-fungible token that has a unique encryption including a property right. It is a digital asset to put it in simple terms. It establishes a unbreakable link between the physical work and a unique owner through a blockchain, which is a network of computer servers that validate and perform digital transactions.
An NFT contains all the information related to the certification of work: name of the work, name of the artist, number of prints, size, medium, etc. A NFT has a digital signature of the artist who minted (created) it.
It serves both as title of ownership as well as a certificate of authenticity and as such, it replaces the physical certificate of authenticity.
Since a physical certificate of authenticity can only be identified by the people who issued it or by experts, in the case of NFTS, all the links in the chain (artist, collector, gallery, public, expert, etc.) can verify authenticity of this certificate in the blockchain. This ensures that you do in fact own the piece stated out of a collection and is not a fake work of art.
The art market relies on three pillars to value a work: rarity, provenance, and authenticity. With NFTs, the source of the information is totally reliable and the information itself is certain. NFTs are the future of art.
Art by Chill Will NFT mural collection:
Art by Chill Will has a way for you to physically own an original mural that he once created through minting as an NFT. This collection is a 1/1 meaning that there is only 1 of its kind. Each piece has been digitally remastered making it even more unique than the original wall. Each NFT has utility being unlockable content. When you purchase a NFT from Art by Chill Will, it will also come with either a 1/1 16x20" signed and numbered digital poster print or canvas print at no additional cost to receive through shipping.
If you’re new to NFTs, you’ll need to create a digital crypto wallet that supports NFTs through an app (such as Coinbase wallet, MetaMask, or Trust Wallet). There are online tutorial videos on YouTube or Google that can help walk you through this process (do your research first). Once you have created a wallet and have it setup, you will be ready to accept NFTs after you purchase. If you have any questions or need help about the process, please feel free to email.
